Crypto.com’s CEO bought AI.com for $70M and launched it as a new AI agent platform with a Super Bowl ad.
Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek revealed he bought the AI.com domain for $70 million, the biggest domain sale ever, and turned it into a consumer AI agent platform.
The platform offers a personal AI agent that can trade stocks, manage calendars, send messages, and automate tasks with no setup
The $70M deal beat the last record, set in 2019 when Voice.com sold for $30M
Marszalek says these agents could build new skills on their own and share upgrades across users, pushing progress toward AGI
This move shows how fast the race for AI agents is heating up. A huge domain buy and a Super Bowl launch grab attention, but the real test will be whether the product can truly compete with powerful tools from top AI labs.
