DAILY UPDATE

AI brands took over the Super Bowl, turning ads into a big fight for attention.

Many AI companies and products filled Super Bowl LX with commercials, all trying to win trust and become part of everyday life.

  • Anthropic made its Super Bowl debut with a bold ad pushing back on AI advertising, sparking fresh talk across the tech world.

  • Meta, Amazon, and Google showed off new AI tools, from smart glasses to Alexa+ and Gemini.

  • Brands like SVEDKA used AI to create ads, while more tech startups joined in, pushing AI ads to about 10% of all Super Bowl spots.

This shows how AI is racing to become the main helper people use every day, while also changing how ads themselves are created and shared.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT

Crypto.com’s CEO bought AI.com for $70M and launched it as a new AI agent platform with a Super Bowl ad.

Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek revealed he bought the AI.com domain for $70 million, the biggest domain sale ever, and turned it into a consumer AI agent platform.

  • The platform offers a personal AI agent that can trade stocks, manage calendars, send messages, and automate tasks with no setup

  • The $70M deal beat the last record, set in 2019 when Voice.com sold for $30M

  • Marszalek says these agents could build new skills on their own and share upgrades across users, pushing progress toward AGI

This move shows how fast the race for AI agents is heating up. A huge domain buy and a Super Bowl launch grab attention, but the real test will be whether the product can truly compete with powerful tools from top AI labs.
