DAILY UPDATE

How a Hidden AI Model Was Cracked Using Breach Data

A secret AI model from Anthropic was quickly accessed by a private Discord group after launch.

A cybersecurity AI model called Mythos, meant only for select partners, was reportedly leaked and used by a private online group just days after release. The access came from guessed system details and leaked information from another breach.

  • The Mythos model was released on April 10 under a limited program called Project Glasswing, as it was seen as too powerful for public use.

  • A private Discord group accessed it on the same day, using patterns and data from the recent Mercor breach.

  • One member had vendor access, and the group says they are not using it for harmful actions, though they claim access to other unreleased AI models.

This shows how even highly restricted AI tools can be exposed faster than expected. It raises concerns about security gaps, especially as these models become more powerful and widely shared.

OpenAI’s New Workspace Agents

OpenAI launches Workspace Agents to automate team tasks across ChatGPT and Slack

OpenAI has introduced Workspace Agents, a new type of shared AI tool inside ChatGPT. These agents are powered by Codex and can handle multi-step tasks for teams, even when users are offline.

  • Workspace Agents build on earlier GPT tools, now designed for team use, with a conversion option coming soon

  • They can remember context, connect to apps, run in Slack, and even work on a schedule

  • Companies are already using them for tasks like sales research, follow-ups, and accounting workflows

This shows a bigger shift toward AI for teams, not just individuals. Many companies have messy and scattered AI workflows, and these agents aim to bring everything into one organized system. If it works well, it could make AI tools much more useful in daily work.
