DAILY UPDATE

Google launched Nano Banana 2, a faster, cheaper, and higher quality image model that now ranks No.1.

Google has released Nano Banana 2, an upgraded image generation model with better quality, faster speed, and lower cost. It now leads major rankings and is built to create detailed images with strong consistency, clear text, and high resolution.

  • No.1 ranking performance: Nano Banana 2 took the top spot in text to image rankings on Artificial Analysis and LM Arena, beating Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 1.5.

  • Higher quality and consistency: The model supports 4K resolution, keeps up to five characters and 14 objects consistent, and produces clearer text and visual details in images.

  • Lower price and faster speed: Each image costs about 7 cents, nearly half the price of competitors, while running at very fast speeds similar to flash level models.

This shows that high quality image creation is becoming cheaper and faster at the same time. Before, users had to choose between best quality or low cost, but now they can have both.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT

Teens are using AI widely for school and daily life, with many seeing benefits but also reporting high levels of AI cheating.

A new study by the Pew Research Center shows that AI is now common among teens, especially for schoolwork, information, and entertainment. Most teens see AI as helpful, even though many believe it is also being used for cheating in school.

  • About 60% of teens believe AI cheating is common, and this rises to 75% among teens who use AI themselves.

  • Teens mostly use AI for learning, homework, and fun, and many say it makes life easier and faster.

  • Around 40% of parents have never talked about AI with their child, showing a gap in awareness and understanding.

This shows that AI is becoming normal for young people, but schools and parents are still catching up. It brings both big opportunities for learning and serious challenges like cheating and skill loss, which could shape how the next generation learns and works.
