Meta’s AI Chats Now Feed Your Ads

Meta will use AI chat data to fuel targeted ads.

Meta revealed that conversations with its AI products will soon power personalized ads across Facebook and Instagram. Starting December 16, the company will update its privacy policy to reflect this global rollout, with exceptions in the EU, UK, and South Korea due to strict privacy laws.

  • No opt-out option is available, raising concerns about user control

  • Sensitive topics like health, religion, and politics will not be used for ad targeting
