Googleβs New Gemini AI Could Change Android Forever

Google unveiled major new Gemini AI upgrades for Android, including AI native laptops, smart device tools, and a new AI powered cursor system.
Google introduced a big set of Gemini integrations during its Android Show event. The company revealed new Googlebook laptops built with partners like Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, and Asus.
The new Googlebook laptops combine ChromeOS, Android, Google Play, and Gemini, allowing users to run Android apps and access files across devices.
Google also introduced Gemini Intelligence, a cross device AI system that can understand on screen content and complete tasks inside apps automatically.
Other new features include Magic Pointer, an AI powered cursor, the Create My Widget tool, Rambler dictation that removes filler words, and Gemini auto browsing inside Chrome.
This shows Google is pushing AI much deeper into Android instead of treating it like an extra feature. While many companies are still building AI assistants, Google is trying to create a full AI ecosystem across devices that can actually help users complete real tasks more naturally.

Google + SpaceX Put AI Data Centers in Orbit

Google may team up with SpaceX to launch orbital data centers, pushing space based AI infrastructure closer to reality.
Google is reportedly exploring a rocket launch deal with SpaceX for orbital data centers. The partnership could help Google expand its space ambitions while giving SpaceX a major customer for its future space computing plans.
Google already owns a 6.1% stake in SpaceX after investing $900M in 2015, and Google VP Don Harrison sits on SpaceXβs board.
Googleβs Project Suncatcher plans to launch prototype satellites by 2027, with Planet Labs helping build the first hardware.
Anthropic recently signed a compute deal with SpaceX and showed interest in large scale orbital AI computing, while SpaceX has reportedly filed approval plans for up to 1 million satellites.
This could become a major shift in future AI infrastructure. Google gets access to reliable rocket launches without building rockets itself, while SpaceX gains strong validation for its orbital computing vision before a possible IPO.
