DAILY UPDATE
GPT-5.5 Is Here

OpenAI has launched GPT-5.5, a faster and stronger AI model that now leads many top industry tests.
OpenAI has released GPT-5.5, its newest AI model, calling it a new class of intelligence. The model performs better across key tests in reasoning, coding, and computer use, putting OpenAI back at the front of the AI race and ahead of Anthropic in several major benchmarks.
GPT-5.5 sets new top scores in reasoning, coding, agent tasks, and computer use, with some results close to Claude Mythos.
OpenAI says GPT-5.5 keeps the same speed as 5.4 while improving efficiency, partly by using Codex and GPT-5.5 itself to rewrite GPU code and improve its systems.
The model is priced at $5 per million input tokens and $30 per million output tokens in the API, and is now rolling out across ChatGPT plans and Codex with Thinking and Pro versions.
This is a big moment for OpenAI. After months of stronger momentum from Anthropic, GPT-5.5 signals a clear shift in the AI race. OpenAI is moving faster, shipping stronger upgrades, and rebuilding confidence with users as rivals face growing complaints around limits and model quality.

TODAYβs HIGHLIGHT
AIβs Biggest Winners Are Also the Most Afraid of Losing Their Jobs

Anthropic found that workers who gain the most from AI are also the most worried about losing their jobs, especially younger workers.
Anthropicβs new survey shows a clear split in how workers see AI. People using Claude the most say it helps them work faster and do more, but they are also much more worried that AI could replace parts of their jobs.
Workers in jobs that use Claude the most were 3x more likely to fear job loss than workers in jobs that use it the least, with engineers showing the highest concern.
Most workers said AI helps them finish tasks faster and gives them more free time, but it also often leads to more responsibilities and a wider workload.
Early-career workers were the most worried about being replaced, matching earlier signs that AI may already be slowing hiring for recent graduates in the U.S.
This matters because it challenges the common idea that people who use AI less are the most afraid of it. Instead, the workers seeing the biggest productivity gains are also feeling the most stress about what AI could mean for their future.
