TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT

YouTube removed AI videos using Disney characters after a copyright clash between Google and Disney.

Google has started removing AI made videos that use Disney characters from YouTube after Disney raised strong copyright concerns. The move follows a legal warning sent by Disney to Google.

  • YouTube removed many videos showing Deadpool, Mickey Mouse, Moana, Star Wars characters and other Disney assets

  • Disney accused Google of copyright abuse and of using Disney content to train AI tools like Veo and Nano Banana

  • Disney has also filed similar complaints against Midjourney, Character.AI, and Hailuo

This shows how serious copyright rules are becoming in the age of AI content. Big companies want clear control over how their characters are used, and platforms like YouTube may need new deals to keep such content online.
