DAILY UPDATE

Apple is planning a small AI pin with cameras, aiming to launch it in 2027.

Apple is said to be working on a camera-powered AI pin that can be worn on clothes or bags. The device is about the size of an AirTag and could ship with up to 20 million units when it launches.

  • The AI pin may have two cameras, three microphones, and magnetic charging similar to the Apple Watch

  • Apple wants to move faster than usual to keep up with OpenAI, which is also building AI wearables

  • Past AI pins have failed, like Humane’s pin, which sold very poorly before the company sold assets to HP

This shows Apple is finally taking AI seriously. Along with the AI pin, Apple is also working on a new ChatGPT-like Siri for iOS 27 and has partnered with Gemini.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT

Anthropic shared a new guide that explains how Claude thinks, acts, and may even matter morally.

Anthropic released Claude’s Constitution, a core document that guides how its AI should behave. It explains values, choices, and limits, and even talks about the chance that Claude could be conscious in some way.

  • The document is written to Claude, telling it to put safety, ethics, and rules first, and then help users.

  • It focuses on the reasons why rules exist, not just strict orders, so Claude can handle new cases better.

  • It says Claude should protect its own well-being and even refuse Anthropic if asked to do something wrong.

This shows how deep and serious Anthropic is about AI values and personality. Talking openly about AI having possible moral value is bold, and no other big lab has said this so clearly before.
