AMD says the world will enter a new Yotta Scale computing era within five years
AMD CEO Lisa Su said at CES that fast growth in AI computing will push the world into a new level called Yotta Scale, setting a new standard for performance.
AI infrastructure is growing fast, with accelerators and rack scale systems becoming key parts of future computing.
The needed power could pass 10 yottaflops by the end of this decade, which is about 10,000 times more than in 2022.
AMD is preparing with new AI accelerators, EPYC processors, and hybrid PC chips to support cloud and personal AI use.
This shift will change how AI systems are built and used across cloud, PCs, healthcare, space, and more, making massive computing power a core part of daily technology and pushing strong competition in the AI hardware market.
